"Other Stuff" subforum - what would you like to see threre?

I want to ask: what will other members like to see in the "Other Stuff" subforum?

Will the politics / economy / society topics be accepted - for example, a thread about recent threatening situation around North Korea, or the growing Left-Right tension and conflict in the USA? Or we're already fed with politics on the old Skeptiko?

Will the sane-and-evidential level (not Pizzagate-and-Alex-Jones-nonsense level!) "conspiracy theory" discussion - like 9/11 false flag, JFK assasination and Deep State / Deep Politics / Deep Events in general - be accepted? Or not?

I just want to know what people here will likely approve - and what they want to leave at the old Skeptiko.

Ninshub gave this answer to Jim Smith earlier on a similar question, and at this point, as he said; "we need to gather our thoughts about this, so give us a little time and we'll come back to you".
We've just been up for a day or two and we need to think about how we will make the forum practical to use for the members, with sub-forums & sub-categories etc, and also what we like the focus of the forum should be. Nothing is cut in stone, yet.

Thanks for asking the question Jim. The admins need to gather their thoughts about this, so give us a little time and we'll come back to you.

Thanks, Pollux - yes, our new forum is indeed just a few days old... So I will leave this question for the future.

I had the same question! Smile

IMO, "Conspiracy Theories" and/or politics should have their own subforum... that way members can go to the "other" forum to have a nice relaxing coffee table chat or watch cat videos, and the potentially highly polarizing topic of conspiracy theories or alternative history could be quarantined in its own subforum (members enter at your own risk).

Or conspiracy theories could be banned altogether, but seems like that would be hard to do as many consciousness topics tend to bleed into conspiracy anyway (mkultra, mindcontrol, ufos, aliens, SRI, stargate, etc...). Additionally many people interested in the fringe science topics are also interested in fringe political topics so I think it would be a shame to limit the forum in that way... allow it but swiftly quarantine it so it doesn't derail other threads would be my vote.
