NDE lights

Always found the "tunnel of light" phenomenon in NDEs to be one of the first qualities skeptics always attempt to debunk, because there are admittedly a lot of things that cause vaguely similar effects as seeing a light. They are usually bunk, and this one probably is to, but what about the explanation that what experiencers are seeing are hospital lights?

Don't expect it to carry much water under scurnity, especially because it was James Randi in a very vague ancedote about his own experience that spawned it in the first place. Very credible source obviously

All that is needed here is to find an example of an NDE which took place in an unlit or low-illumination area, whether within a hospital or anywhere else, and which includes such a phenomenon.

I'll leave it for others to look for examples.

(One might also consider the hospital scenario where the eyes will be closed and possibly covered or taped shut).

Sorry, Malf but you know this very well without me having to lecture you. The 'light' seen by people having a near death experience is of a substance/quality and magnitude that defies description. It also has a personality, too (in the reports) as I'm sure you've picked up on. Nothing to do with electric lights etc. I don't know any serious sceptic or debunker that thinks so, either.

Besides, in Shared Death Experiences, many perfectly healthy people see a tunnel of light opening in the ceiling over the bed of the dying.

There are probably dozens of reasons for nde reports. Some we’ve thought of and discussed, and some we haven’t.
