Yeah there are two, IMO, fruitful ways of looking at reality which are relatively new -> Weiss' metaphysics and Marcus Arvan's Peer to Peer Hypothesis.

Weiss for the relationship between levels of reality and Arvan for an explanation of how this level works. Of course they could be wrong, probably are in some to many ways, but it feels like the combo hits closer to the truth. For me, anyway.
