Meditating while driving

Anyone try or do this?

I'm just browsing videos and links, but I've already been doing this for a while. Sometimes I try to focus on my breathing (put my awareness on it), sometimes try to feel my body (be aware of my hands or another part of my body, what they feel like), usually while keeping my vision on a point ahead, like say the car in front at a distance, while being aware of and trying to not to follow thoughts while they arise. Of course it's harder or difficult not to temporarily interrupt when you're involved in more aggressive traffic.

When I come to a stop light, I just focus on the red light and try with all my will (but in a relaxed way, if that's possible) to just stop thinking for the duration, and put all my awareness on the light.

Not sure it’s meditating... but I used to use ‘flow’ a lot when driving (something like actively ‘feeling’ whether I should be applying the accelerator peddle on/off)... that made drives much more pleasurable and calm, rarely having to touch the brakes... but becomes more difficult in heavy traffic. And I have occasionally found the car a useful space to try batting away internal chatter, as it involves talking to myself, the car is a good place, otherwise one looks like they have an uncontrollable tick. I once did that on a 60min journey, by the time I reached the other end I was in a very different place, not sure what I had done, but my mind was silent and I had the most unusual and calm night out I can remember...

Same here. Again unless the traffic requires too much of your attention, I'm usually surprised to find I have an easier time getting into "stillness" there, than at home doing dishes or something.
