Likewise. It seems to be that (from your earlier post)...

...for some reason (perhaps reasonably/correctly), Firefox sees the Twitter previews as containing a tracker, whereas it doesn't perceive/identify any tracking functionality in embedded YouTube videos.

It shouldn't do, but without knowing what the actual cause is, I certainly can't rule it out.

In any case, looking at the time stamps of the various relevant posts in this thread, I don't see the possibility that you and I posted more-or-less simultaneously anyhow when your post went missing. Your own thoughts/analysis?

This is not good. My understanding is that the Tapatalk plugin is a bit of a dodgy player in this respect, but I didn't think it would have added more than one tracker. I've been tolerating its dodgy presence on our board given that we don't have a decent theme for mobile devices, but the sooner we're rid of it, the better, I think.

I can't say much about the timing. I was replying to/quoting Stan's post #13 and it may have taken me some time to type - not because it was especially lengthy, but I clicked on 'preview', thought a bit, drank some tea, edited the draft, clicked preview again... (repeat until satisfied/bored) and when I finally clicked post, it was, as I said, not my own post which appeared. So I started typing before your post had appeared, Stan's was the last, and completed my typing and pressed 'post' myself sometime - can't say when.

I should mention that so far I'm only talking of Firefox on windows. Not re-checked Android yet.

These are the twitter-related trackers (see image)

I'm not really familiar with tapatalk, I've not used it. Heard it mentioned in the past of course.

OK, thanks. I see now. Your disappearing post was posted some time after #13 but also before #15, which means it could have been posted at the same time as mine at #14. I had been originally mistaken after misinterpreting your initial report in post #16, because I assumed that in your saying your post disappeared "a few minutes ago", you meant that it had been posted after post #15. Oops.

Yes, they do all look Twitter-related. Perhaps, after all, then, Tapatalk isn't to blame, at least in this instance.
