"Image-noise"- my ASS!!!

Please could you post the corresponding frame of the raw video, for comparison?

Is it stated what type of camera was used.

This is the original shot>>

When you change the contrast, the brightness, colour correlation, you get this (no added "spooky ghost-filter">>

As I said;   this (above) is just only added brightness, colour correlation, and contrast.

If there is any more confusion, there is a clip of IT - moving. >> https://streamable.com/idi7b

If you really like I can probably manage so you can get a 1080DP of the recording (or at least a 720dp).

This above are screenshots of the shooting video, and it wont be as good as the original footage. If you contact Nick Groff I think he would be happy to give you the original live-shot.

BTW, do you know who this is??

With a little added Brightness & Contrast>>

I really dont wanna be snarky here, but explain for me, what they caught on this footage, if its not a humanoid figure moving & crawling across the floor?

Probably the worst, cheap camera they could possibly ever come across at Walmart, Steve.
I mean really; why the fuck would they ever want to have a top-notch camera - working for a TV-company, relaying solely on what they might catch on their investigations. Of course they would use the crappiest shit around - then edit some bollox in the editing-room, and after that go down the pub have a laugh & a beer. Yeah...Steve...you know its true!

Thanks. I'm a bit confused because in your original post you said your GIF was based on a version from a later show that they had "cleaned up". That was the enhancement I was concerned about.

However, looking at the footage around 1.50 in the video I find it's easier to see once you know what to look for, and I think it's clear enough that it's not an artefact of image processing.

What puzzles me now is that the thing (whatever it is) seems to be visible from the beginning of the shot down the corridor just after 1.20 right up until the point about 30 seconds later when the man moves in front of it. It's stationary in the middle of the corridor to start with, and over about 10 seconds it moves to the left, then ends up stationary again. Then the man blocks the camera's view of it, and when he moves out of the way, it seems to have gone.

My peeve about ghost hunting is the use of IR cameras. The use of these give the impression they show invisible things, they don't. If you can record an image with IR camera that image can be recorded with visible light. IR camera uses an IR led that illuminates. I used to watch Ghost Hunters and they regularly used thermal imagers and visible low light cameras. Occasionally these devices would record something interesting. In one such case at a prison an intriguing image was record on a low light camera. Said image could be seen quickly approaching then receding from the camera.

I'm sorry. There is the original broadcasting of this episode. Paranormal Lockdown - Trans-Allegheny 2016 were this was host & displayed. But after that year, many people were asking about that footage (and Nick Groff had also stated in soc-media that they had improved footage of it), so they then did an episode where they were presenting a whole combination and explanatory comments on the evidence of what they had captured up to that point, in their investigations. So they then did this particular show when they showed this clip, amongst other things they caught.
I looked around now on YouTube DailyMotion etc, and I cant find that this particular episode is up anywhere. I got it though on my harddrive, but since we are not a file-sharing platform here I cant provide it to you - (but you can PM me Wink )

Regarding the shoot; Nick doesn't really block the shoot as you say, but Rob, the cameraman, gets freaked out so he lowers his camera at the little last bit of the shot. You see "it" mid-way, Rob shouts out, Katrina reacts first and comes in the shoot, from the right, and as Rob tries to focus, Nick also comes in, but he doesn't really block the shot completely. But we dont see the last few seconds of IT really passing the whole floor-way there into the next cell. Rob tries to "compute" what he saw, and he really dont have the full view of what you see in the enhanced video-footage at first. But he saw that something clearly pass from the right to the left on the floor.

When you see the initial part of the enhanced image-sequence, it looks kinda "flowing", but at the last few seconds, you see it raises it's "legs & arms" in a pattern like a human crawling.

As I said, they were all standing there in complete darkness, and Rob was shooting what they thought was an ordinary part of their investigation. There wasn't anything really going on at that point - making them alert at that something - but Rob then saw that movement at the end of the corridor.

Nick Groff & Katrina Weidman are paranormal investigators, but Rob Saffi is just a camera-man for the TV-company, so he is not "part of the team" in that way.

Infrared cameras are developed & used by US-militaries since ages. Infrared is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The visual spectrum is what we see with the eyes. If you wanna debate I can take some time tomorrow and brush up on the knowledge of electromagnetic spectrum so can we discuss what we as humans see with our eyes, and what animals see, and then what we, by electronic means, can see via cameras.

PS: I'm sorry Steve, I didn't mean to come across as a snarky asshole before.

In general, I'm always sceptical of all and every photograph presented as containing something unusual, whether it be ufos, ghosts, or anything else. I'm pretty sure that if we took a low-quality photo taken by any of us and a) enhance it and b) focus our attention on a tiny part of the frame, then we will see faces, people, animals, spacecraft and the like.

However. What is interesting here is that the point of interest is seen to move in a consistent fashion over a number of frames, it thus represents something in motion. Ordinary image noise fluctuates randomly from one frame to the next, it doesn't present itself as a consistent pattern in motion across the image.

Next, when there is something unexpected in motion in a video, my go-to explanation is usually something like a tiny insect just in front of the lens, or a speck of dust or fluff drifting in a breeze. I'm not sure those types of explanation fit very well here - though I haven't really considered that angle.

As a disclaimer, I don't usually watch or follow these types of videos or tv shows, there's too much talk and hype and too little actual content so that I tend to get bored very easily. That makes me pretty much a non-expert in this field. Still photography is more my area. I do feel more at home there.

Perhaps it's not entirely clear that the movement has stopped before the thing is obscured by the presenter, but it looks like it to me. Certainly it seems to be stationary for quite a long time before the movement.

Here's another YouTube video with the footage modified to make the thing easier to see. It's entitled "Paranormal Lockdown - SHADOW CREEPER Video - REAL or FAKE ?" That title does seem to sum up the possibilities:
