Is anyone else experiencing this right now?
It's been pretty bad over the past few days. Today is no exception.
Didn't you mention that the website is on a shared server, and that it's possible that another site on this shared server is being possibly DDoS'd? On a sadly amusing note, even simply attempting to like posts can time-out, suggesting that the server is having difficulty processing even these small requests. Which is nuts.

It wasn't me who mentioned that. Possibly another admin is aware of what's going on.
This issue was discussed at some length in this thread from a month ago:

Yesterday I struggled to post something. I'd typed it out, but the "Post Reply" button just timed out. Luckily I copied the text I'd written, saved it temporarily in another editor, then tried again some time later, when the server was responsive again.
I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, (23/12/2018) but it's taking more than 30-40 seconds to respond to a click. Just thought I'd make a note of it.

Yes, same here. Though at least it does respond, better than getting an error message. edit: took 2 mins 45 sec to post this reply (after clicking 'post reply' button). It's just taken over ten minutes to post the Aware 2 (sort of update)in the Latest from Sam Parnia (NDE's) (2018-12-23, 12:53 PM)tim Wrote: Ditto, Typoz.
