Diane Hennacy Powell

The Psi Encyclopedia has a new article on Diane Hennacy Powell and her interest in the possibility of telepathic communication in autistic children:

The work she presented to the Parapsychological Association in 2014 was discussed in some detail at Skeptiko, with several people expressing concerns about the possibility of cueing, similar to the concerns that had apparently been aired at the meeting. Apparently Dr Powell accepted the need for more rigorously controlled experiments. The Psi Encyclopedia article mentions that "Between 2013 and 2018, she tested three children in the US under controlled conditions," but it's not clear where that information comes from. There don't seem to have been any publications since 2015. The last on the list is an article by Dr Powell published in the Society for Scientific Exploration's magazine EdgeScience in September 2015, which covers among other things the work presented to the PA and some brief tests of a boy named Ramses that were also discussed at Skeptiko:

One I hadn't known about previously is scepticism about vaccination. In fact I was a bit taken aback to see this video of a speech she made at the "Revolution for Truth" event in 2017. I think to describe it as impassioned would be an understatement. When she yells "Stop the Insanity!" I assume it is vaccination she is talking about:

I thought the speech was relevant in evaluating her work in general, so no - I didn't think twice.
