The same could be said with NDEs they also never bring any information back they couldn’t know beforehand (from the departed). We will most likely never get any irrefutable evidence for the existence of an afterlife. Only tiny straws to put ones hope on to.

"The same could be said with NDEs they also never bring any information back they couldn’t know beforehand (from the departed)."

I'm pretty sure this assertion is demonstrably false. It is, as was admitted in the opening sentence, merely a belief.

I have to say, a few hidden informations seems to have been gained during NDEs, mostly about the identity of deceased persons. It's the "peak in darien" experience, when a NDEer understands that somebody died during his experience without having had previous clues.

When I said "guessable," I meant by a cryptographer - rather than having to work through the whole of Project Gutenberg - and not by a medium.

Can you point to a non-selfreported NDE from a proper prospective study like AWARE that brings back information from a departed that subject couldn’t know beforehand?

And the fact is no medium suddenly emerged with the keyword due to communication with the deceased.

Prospective studies are very rare in the field of NDEs, as far as I know there has been no "Peak in Darien" during thuis kind of studies, but due to their rarity the sample size is very small.

Normally, informations about the departed has been self reported. While this makes the information much weaker and open to fraud/bias, it is a starting point of sorts.
