A Self Aware Fish?

This was a nice find. That a fish may be self aware is not particularly surprising in and of itself since the very definition of self awareness is in flux, the reaction by various "scientists" to this finding is quite revealing.

A read through this article reveals quite strongly the bias's that many researchers have towards their current "understanding" of reality. The progress to a better understanding of the world and ourselves is slowed immensely by such characteristics.
