Time Crystals: A New Form Of Matter That Could Change Everything

"Authored by RSF Research Staff"....so probably a bot. Big Grin

Quote:Scientists believe that studying time crystals and refining our understanding of them will allow breakthroughs in power and accuracy of atomic clocks, gyroscopes, and magnetometers, as well as further developments in how we build potential quantum technologies.

The promise of using stable quantum systems at far higher operating temperatures than what we can currently achieve might be the final push needed to make quantum computing a reality -- which is a really big deal. The U.S. Department of Defense announced a funding program to investigate more potential applications of time crystals, as quantum computing is one of the most promising technological horizons in the computer age.

The discovery of time crystals also requires re-evaluation of some existing theories and understandings, as it seems to suggest that there are phases of matter beyond the realm of what we currently understand. There are some potential applications of time crystals that are even more sci-fi than their name implies, but unlike many such futuristic-sounding breakthroughs, time crystals already exist in more than one form and have been confirmed in peer-reviewed studies by multiple university research teams.

As an interesting little synchronicity, Anirban Bandyopadhyay has a theory that the brain itself is a time crystal.

Looking for a recording of his presentation on this topic...ideally will post shortly...

Other than the synchronistic term "time crystal" are you sure the man in the video is using the term as a physicist would? Recall the co-opted term "non local" used by psi proponents does not have the same meaning in physics. I'm not about to spend nearly two hours watching this video, so if you know precisely where he describes what a time crystal is provided the start time.

These set of letters make no sense to us. We need a decoder to read it. What if we have a language that has a decoder, our perception, a higher level argument? As soon as we look into the information structure we would be able to extract the information we will simply get it inside our brain like a feeling.

For a century, information was a dead object. Imagine a time in the future when information is like a life form. It has a clock to keep time, a geometric relation as its significance or importance, that could be understood as a cognitive entity, no reality or classical point to have a physical existence, it is like a concept.

I kinda doubt physicists even necessarily agree on the nature of all the terms that fall under the discipline.

Also doubt you have any capacity to judge what is "co-opted".

Also, not your errand boy. Next time ask nicely.

Imagine how difficult it would be for physicists whom speak many different languages to communicate if they did not agree on terms? Nice way to avoid the question I must say.
I see posting the video was not to show commonality you think you see. Then what's your point? I think it's you whom does not know when a term has been or might be co-opted. Did you even watch the video? Probably not. No matter how politely I could have asked your response would have been the same.

There's a difference between agreeing on the terms and their place in the questions, and agreement of what "energy" and "force" actually are.

Anyway I guess we'll just have live without the insights of someone who had to run and beg for help against an actual physicist like Maanelli (as well as insult him behind his back). LOL

Pathetic and childish because you can't articulate the connection in the video to time crystals in physics.

You demanded to know when he mentions time crystals...anyone who watches the video will see why this is a ridiculous request.

That you cannot make the effort isn't much concern of mine since you are starting off suspecting someone who isn't a parapsychologist is "co-opting" a concept. But you thought field effects were something from Psi and not physics not long ago. LOL

Again, if you had asked nicely and I thought you were acting in good faith I might be inclined to engage, but you won't even watch video before you begin your criticisms. That seems very "pathetic and childish" to me.
