We were down for a little under 26 hours because the Ionos web control panel reboot functionality wasn't working when I tried to reboot the VPS after installing a kernel upgrade via the `dnf` package manager.
Unfortunately, we need to rely on it because the native OS (Linux) `reboot` command for some reason consistently fails, leaving the machine apparently hung, but in any case inaccessible via both SSH and HTTP(S).
I contacted Ionos about it yesterday and they said it was a known problem that would be fixed, but it wasn't before I slept overnight. Now that I'm awake again, it's working again.
They'd said they'd email me when it was working again but haven't done so, which is not great customer service, but at least we're back up and running.
