Quote: What is the deepest level of reality? In this Quanta explainer, Vijay Balasubramanian, a physicist at the University of Pennsylvania, takes us on a journey through space-time to investigate what it’s made of, why it’s failing us, and where physics can go next. 'Historically, we may regard materialism as a system of dogma set up to combat orthodox dogma...Accordingly we find that, as ancient orthodoxies disintegrate, materialism more and more gives way to scepticism.'

Great video.

He says "That’s going  to require creative new ideas."

He ought to consider the role of consciousness.

He is conscious, but he doesn't seem to recognize that if his physicalist paradigm has a massive gap in it, he might find answers out side that paradigm.
