Psychology Today bloggers debate Psi and the nature of consciousness

It seemed to me that Lewis underestimated Taylor and the commenters. He also still hasn't addressed Taylor's other arguments, instead dismissing them or glossing over them. His reply to Max may demonstrate that, despite constantly relying on it as the backbone of his arguments, he isn't qualified to be lecturing people on the laws of physics and making assertions about how they work. I just really don't like his attitude and how demeaning he is towards proponents and believers. His reply to Max is disappointing to say the least. 

Speaking from personal experience, I can't imagine how he'd treat a patient who was suffering because they were, say, bullied and mocked for their beliefs. Would his response actually involve being this condescending and arrogant, and would he genuinely just try to convince them that they're delusional and susceptible to the 'allure of the paranormal', even if they have evidence and personal experiences?

He's simply handwaved everything away, which is nothing less than monumental hubris and an insult to the whole field of research, and millions of sincere people who've recounted these experiences. It's the kind of position you might adopt as an adolescent, which of course would be quite understandable in that case.
