My wife and I have been discussing a song called "Angie Baby" by Helen Reddy for some time now and although the writer had in mind a strange girl, she sounds so much like a changeling. She is somewhat unusual and doesn't get along with people so she stays at home with only the radio for company. One day, a bad intentioned boy comes around and she immediately takes control causing him to dance uncontrollably then as she reduces the volume, he shrinks and disappears, becoming her pet. Whenever she wants him, she just has to summon him.
Possible accidental fairy songs and media

Alan apparently took the lyrics to his therapist and the line that says "a little touched" originally said "a little slow" but the therapist told him, "this character is not retarded." That is when he changed the line. Interesting that the phrase "touched" refers to an old belief that the mentally ill had been touched by fairies. |
