"A spirit team can create ectoplasm in the séance room that is similar to a material created by Wilbert Smith's ET contacts. Although the same physics may apply to both phenomena, it seems clear that the method used by the spirit team is radically different from that of the ET visitors. The ET visitors appear to employ technological tools to manipulate the environment, while the spirit team claims to use the vital energies of the medium and the sitters to produce similar effects. The spirit team might have a technology of sorts, but if so, only the effects of the technology are manifest in our physical reality.

An ectoplasm-like material was created and destroyed by the ET visitors, probably by manipulating the configuration of electric, magnetic, and tempic fields to change the binding force in a volume of space. Although this knowledge has been protected by both the ETs and spirit controls, it was apparently discovered nonetheless by a human agency. Possible evidence for this is found in the destruction of the WTC towers on September 11, 2001. Like ectoplasm at the end of a séance, most of the material in the buildings disintegrated before it blew away. "

SÉANCE Details:  The “Christmas Tree Séance” is an old Spiritualistic Tradition. "The very common “child-controls” (spirit children) in Physical Mediumship are especially invited to have Christmas experiences most of them never had in their short lives. The story of 19th century physical medium. Florence Cook and her 'spirit control' Katie King is a controversial one to say the least. Allegedly the possessor of psychic abilities from a young age, Cook was to become famous in Victorian Spiritualist circles and beyond for producing the full materialization of the spirit 'Katie King' in front of numerous witnesses and for undergoing methodical testing of her alleged psychic abilities by the eminent scientist Sir William Crookes Crookes.

It was at one of these seances, in summer 1872, that the floating spirit face of Katie King first appeared. The 'entity' or 'spirit' known as Katie King was somewhat of a spiritual world celebrity, first making herself known at the very beginnings of American Spiritualism in the early 1850s, at seances with mediums such as the Davenport Brothers and the Koons family, among others. Katie was allegedly the spirit of Annie Owen Morgan, the daughter of an historical 17th century Welsh pirate called Henry Owen Morgan (1635-1688), known in the spirit world as John King.

So Pssst:

Can you comment about why some mediums feel the need to hide behind a curtain for a period? I particularly refer to Mychael Shane. If nothing is going on, then it would be so much more satisfying to not wonder "whats going on behind there". Yes I know, he probably doesn't feel the need to prove nothing is happening but still, it would be nice not to have that nagging question. 

Is this typical or are all these folks different in their approaches?
