I had some rather interesting insights during meditation today. I was shown memories and experiences from my phoenix companion ~ of themselves, of their world and its nature. Or how my phoenix companion understands it through their perspectives.
I shall now proceed to just ramble, because I don't have much structure for this, other than to document my experience:
The phoenixes themselves are not really made of fire ~ that's just how their energies can appear. I tried comprehending the name they have for themselves, but I couldn't pin it down: "firebird", "starwing", "ones of light", etc. There is a theme of them relating themselves to their star, it seems, though... another thing touched on for a moment was that they don't have "laws" ~ rather, they have principles they live by. They have an "emperor" and "empress", as it were, but they moreso just act as a guiding light for their kind to live by.
Their world, including they themselves, seem to be composed of light ~ it's their version of "matter", but it's not really at all like matter. It has qualities and behaviours to it that allow it to be shaped into forms. The light can become solid ~ like "physical" objects. There is no hot or cold there ~ but there are differences in densities of light, having different depths and states, and that seemed to be quite a struggle for them to translate into anything I could comprehend. How they count time, I don't know, but a daylight, as it were, seemed to be about 8 hours compared to our sense of them, with night also being 8 hours, roughly. I got a sense that their world is spherical, but no idea how their world relates to their star. Apparently, phoenixes can die if they go to a density of light that is too low ~ they "suffocate", as it were... there's one such story I was told of a phoenix who apparently tried flying far up into the sky towards their star, and died as a result.
They also don't have "male" and "female" in their world. They do have 2 "sexes" as it were, but they're more akin to what were described as distinctly radiant and shining, with those words also not really conveying how they appear or feel. The radiant and shining pair come together, coalesce as one for a moment, and from that union an egg is formed. There is no "female" because the egg is formed within their union, appearing between after they separate.
Another topic of fascination was their language ~ they communicate in light, but it's not a verbal language nor is it telepathy. They have a library of "books" that are written in this language of light, but it was described and shown that these "books" are orbs of light that pertain to distinct entities, with distinct aspects about that entity being detailed therein as branching paths of information. Each branch is a certain subject matter about that entity, with sub-branches having more descriptive details about different aspects of that subject. I queried about why there isn't something about abstract topics, for example, and the answer I got was that it's not an entity, so it's too vague. It does make finding information apparently a bit tricky, as you have to know what you're looking for, and what orb to look through.
Apparently my phoenix companion would get lost in just reading all the time, being the scholarly type, and their parents were worried that they would just get buried in that, so they decided that some real world experience was needed, and that I was considered a good teacher in that regard. I've met the father once... and he seemed perfectly at ease talking to me, though I had nothing but a very curious deja vu I couldn't place. He spoke in a very slow regal and formal, yet causal, tone. I have no idea what they saw in me, though... or my soul, rather. But by whatever standards they consider, I am, apparently...
