Maybe you should "spell check" my username while you are at it (and I'm not talking about the abbreviation). Why you insist on inserting an r before the m I can't understand when the name is spelled out before your eyes.
By the way, in case anyone is interested, Kamarling is an ancient form of my actual surname, Chamberlain.
Quote:chamberlain | chamberlains [plural]
First use: 12th century
Origin: Old French from assumed Frankish kamarling "little room" from Greek kamara "vault"

I think "person concerned with a chamber" makes more sense than "little room" as the meaning of "chamberlain".
I just cut & pasted that from a web page on the etymology of Chamberlain. I'm not too fussed really, I was just looking for a username and found something that related to my real name. Here's another copy & paste:
Quote:Chamberlain is one of the many new names that came to England following the Norman Conquest of 1066. The name Chamberlain is for a person who worked as a chamberlain. A chamberlain was one who was in charge of the private chambers of a noble, and later was a high ranking title having … and so on.
