Interesting Brain Results

In another interesting study, psychic-sensitive people were more likely to be single or divorced people, and people who had at sometime consulted a psychiatrist. They had experienced more head injuries and serious illnesses than the controls. Sixty-six percent showed evidence of right hemisphere and right temporal lobe dysfunction. Mystical experiences showed a trend toward being related to non-dominant hemisphere (usually right) dysfunction.

Mystical or paranormal experiences are associated with transient electrical activity within the temporal lobes of the human brain.

People who report objects moving in their presence, unusual sounds, glows around other people, and multiple sensed presences but do not meet the criteria for psychiatric disorders have been shown to exhibit electrical anomalies over the right temporal lobes.

Where, in contrast, people with auditory hallucinations such as those diagnosed with schizophrenia, elicit spontaneous neuronal activation in the left temporal lobe.

The visual information from real events that the eyes see flows "up" from the brain's occipital lobe to the parietal lobe, but imagined images flow "down" from the parietal to the occipital.

Studies show that psychic abilities are enhanced in accuracy during periods of decreased geomagnetic activity.

Most people can sense magnetic North, even if they don't know where North is, the Alpha waves of the brain say you do.

Interesting notes about Psychic Sean Harribance...
Harribance's eye movements are different from normal and when given target pictures of standardized faces he focuses to the upper left of the head.
In addition, although he has lived in the same place for many years, he is quickly disoriented if he loses visual contact with his home.
The measured anomaly in right side of the posterior parahippocampal gyrus denotes an “alternative” organization, rather than classical damage, which is compatible with Mr. Harribance's long history of discrete deficits of spatial memory, such as persistent errors orienting himself towards his home, in which he has lived for decades, once he can no longer see it.
We tested an exceptional subject, Sean Harribance, who displayed a reliable, consistent configuration of QEEG activity over this region that was confirmed through source localization software. The blind-rated accuracies of the histories of 40 people shown in 40 different photographs were strongly correlated with the quantitative occurrence of this conspicuous QEEG pattern displayed during Mr. Harribance‟s “intuitive state”.
The proportions of specific microstates were also strongly correlated with his accuracy of discerning the historical characteristics of the people in the photographs. Compared to the normal population his microstates were half the duration and his sense of “now” was about twice as fast as the average person. During his intuitive states there was strong congruence of activity between the left temporal lobes of participants who sat near Mr. Harribance and the activity over his temporal (primarily right) lobes within the theta and 19-20 Hz band. Reversible increases in photon emissions and small alterations in the intensity within the nearby (up to a 1 meter) geomagnetic field along the right side of his head were equivalent to energies of about 10-11 Joules with amplitude modulations in the 0.2 to 0.6 Hz range. The results indicate even exceptional skills previously attributed to aberrant sources are variations of normal cerebral dynamics associated with intuition and may involve small but discrete changes in proximal energy.

Geomagnetic Field Changes Around Sean Harribance's Head

We found, similar to our previous measurements, that the horizontal (parallel to the top of the head) static magnetic field of the earth was about 2,000 nT less over SH's right temporo-parietal region compared to his left. When he projected or "accessed his angel" there was a decrease in the earth's magnetic field along the right side but not the left side of his head. The changes, which began about 10 to 20 sec after he began projecting, were about 150 nT, 15 nT, and 5 nT at distances of 1 cm, 25 cm and 100 cm, respectively, from the right side of his head. Fourier analyses of the variations were in the 0.2 Hz to 0.6 Hz range.
This would be about 109 action potentials for a billion neurons displaying one action potential per second or 100 million neurons with an average frequency of 10 Hz…
More specifically, the EEG data suggest that during brief periods the functional connection between his right temporoparietal and prefrontal regions are accessed by his left temporal regions during which time he experiences the information. It is perceived as transient "pictures" or "flashes", often within the upper left visual field, that are compared to a kind of "moving picture" with "flickers". They were estimated by him to be approximately 5 to 10 times per sec, that is, within the range of theta to alpha activity.
The organization of cells within the hippocampus proper is reminiscent of a smaller spherical condenser wrapped and partially interdigitated (interlock like the fingers of two clasped hands) by a larger spherical condenser resulting in a toroid with a gap that could allow discrete leakage of magnetic flux.
Such architecture and conditions are strongly affected by the phase vector that can be matched within an order of magnitude to the scalar potential of the earth's magnetic field.

Specific visual imagery is strongly correlated with ultraweak photon emission coupled to brain activity.
In the present study measurements by a photomultiplier tube also demonstrated significant increases in ultraweak photon emissions (UPEs) or biophotons equivalent to about 5×10(-11)W/m(2) from the right sides of volunteer's heads when they imagined light in a very dark environment compared to when they did not.
