Fair enough. Try replacing its final word with "aim for and intend" then. :-)

My response to that would be...

“The road to hell is paved with good intention”  Wink
Oh my God, I hate all this.   Surprise
So, is bad intention any better? Wink

Is there some third alternative?

I can possibly think of four options, action with intent, action without intent, inaction without intent, inaction with intent.

The bit where she mentions the bit I quoted is around the ten minute mark btw.

Should we move this discussion elsewhere or is it ok here?

I'm sceptical of the way she's describing her experience. I'm thinking it so I'm going to say it.

What are your your intentions, if any?  Wink

More seriously, why the scepticism?

I don't think it's possible to act "without intent". There is no such thing, even if the intent is subconscious or experimental or uncertain. We do things for reasons; that's simply the nature of consciousness. Hence my question: if the road to hell is paved with good intentions, then where does the road paved with bad ones lead?

I'm happy to split this discussion out into a separate thread if you think that's best.

I saw this video a while ago and there's just something slightly amiss with the way she relates it. Basically, I feel I might be being conned but I don't have any evidence other than my instinct. I actually stopped watching it after a few minutes. Does she supply any medical records or anything to say that she actually died ? It's just all a bit too formulaic for me. No offence Stan, you're definitely not too formulaic.

I don’t know if I’m totally happy with that. If someone does something that is uncertain or subconscious can it be proven that there is a reason behind it ? If it can’t, what then? If the intent is not known to the person carrying out the action, it’s as good as being without intent imo.

What’s the intent behind idly kicking a pebble ? Saying ‘it’s subconscious’ without proving the intent is a bit shaky.

Where it was meant to.  Big Grin

I don’t feel that at all. Funny how we all interpret, or feel exactly the same evidence individually.
