Discussing Consciousness with a Cognitive Scientist

Here is a recent video from Rupert Spira, or at least an excerpt containing a discussion with a cognitive scientist who asked about consciousness. I am aware that Spira is not to everyone's taste but I would recommend the discussion on the basis that it is one we have had here many times and with similar results. Valid questions on both sides which boil down to philosophy rather than science. Towards the end, Bernardo Kastrup gets a heavy plug which is well deserved and very pertinent to the discussion, IMHO. I think that Bernardo is wrongly described as a cognitive scientist whereas he has a PhD in Computer Engineering and another in Philosophy.

I do not make any clear distinction between mind and God. God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension.
