BBC podcast on ghosts

The journalist who made The Battersea Poltergeist podcast has come up with a new work based on "it happened to me" stories sent in by listeners. If you liked his earlier stuff, this may be worth a listen. First episode is available some time on the 20th Oct.

Well, I listened to it and I enjoyed it. An interesting story well presented. At the start, it describes itself as "the largest investigation into the paranormal ever" which I am *ahem* sceptical of.

On the downside, there's very little attempt at researching the case itself. At the end of the show they ask the listening public to come up with theories, evidence etc, which is a bit lazy. They didn't even try to find out about the previous inhabitants of the haunted room who'd apparently died during their stay there.

I'll keep listening though, see where it goes.

I've often been critical of the BBC for the way in which it covers PSI topics - for example placing scientific research in the 'religion' category. But I suppose it is conceivable that within the enclosed bubble of the organisation, there might be a perception that there is nothing to see unless it originates from the BBC.
