'Historically, we may regard materialism as a system of dogma set up to combat orthodox dogma...Accordingly we find that, as ancient orthodoxies disintegrate, materialism more and more gives way to scepticism.'

Recently, I've been rediscovering Basia Bulat. Here are my four favourite songs of hers:

Heart Of My Own

Snakes and Ladders

Go On

Tall Tall Shadow

Nice! I used to have Bulat's Heart of My Own on repeat so great to revisit this track ~

Ah, it was probably you who got me into her in the first place then. I couldn't remember how I discovered her. I did a bit of searching but couldn't find any reference to her on the forum, but it seems likely. I think the first song of hers I encountered was Snakes and Ladders. Is that one you plausibly shared here somewhere?

Hmmm maybe but honestly Heart of My Own is the most likely one I shared, so may just be coincidence/fate Thumbs Up

A recommendation algorithm has led me from the sweet delights of Basia Bulat to the heady wonders of Abigail Lapell.

As for Basia, I share here my four favourites of Abigail's. I've ordered them such that the first has a happy synchronicity with recent forum activity:

UFO Song

Sparrow for a Heart

Fur and Feathers

Gonna Be Leaving

Quote:Ab-Soul, rarely seen with a live band, hand-picked a group of musicians he deemed the "Soulersystem" for his turn at the Desk.
