Renaming the "Skeptic vs. Proponent Discussions" subforum

"Challenges" is really too vague. "Challenging the reality of psi" or something like that I would have no problem with.

This does feel a bit Brexit-ish doesn't it? Big Grin

I like having Skeptic or Skepticism in the name of that forum. It makes it clear, given it's not exactly about Psi, or ID, or NDEs. It's a place for people - especially those who might associate themselves with organized skeptic movements -  to debate the very existence of these phenomenon (among others), which I think is different than Alternative Views which debates things in the context that something about the physicalist-leaning paradigm(s) is wrong but there are varied possible answers. [One can debate things such as MWI in Alternative Views as well, as the debate isn't related to parapsychology necessarily.]

It also makes it easier for people who don't want to be involved in the "does this stuff even exist?" debates to avoid that forum.

As I was reading that post, I was thinking maybe it should just be called "Does Psi exist?". Then I came to the last paragraph.

I don't think "Does this stuff even exist?" would be a bad title at all. Maybe it's just a bit too informal.

I also think it's not at all a bad title. The informality doesn't bother me, especially seeing that the title of the subforum above this one ends with "and Other Important Stuff" - we weren't exactly going for formality there, so why need we to here? Meaningfulness is more important, I think.

Without "Skeptic" in the name it just seems to invite confusion?

Really? Doesn't the suggested wording imply scepticism?
