I may have misunderstood your post and if that's the case my referring you where to post such a comment would be wrong.

"NDEs don't occur universally under the same conditions, and thus they are likely explained by oxygen deprivation"
Were you actually saying instead something like...
"NDEs don't occur universally under the same conditions, and, because they don't, they can't be explained by the oxygen deprivation which supposedly would occur under those same conditions"... ?
