Opinions on what, if anything, this says about retrocausation studies? I've heard of such reinterpretations/debunkings of the delayed choice quantum eraser experiment and that you can replicate it's effect via non quantum means.

I enjoyed the video. But just for clarification - this experiment has nothing to do with retrocausation. Nothing travels backwards in time - the experiment is fully compliant with standard quantum mechanics. The challenging part to grasp is that the measurement is not in the ‘usual’ basis but in a basis where measurement data from both Alice and Bob is required to be combined to translate the information to the equivalent of the standard double slit experiment.
Their do-it-at-home doesn’t actually bring any photons into a super position. They reproduce the effect with a standard laser and by polarising the light (like a polarisation filter you can buy for your camera). Equipment that can emit a single photon at a time is expensive.
