TV Show: The Good Place

Just finished watching The Good Place. It's a TV show and a few times the show did drop below my acceptable level of quality for writing.

But overall it was a thoughtful and humorous exploration of the human condition, especially around death and the afterlife.

I was surprised how moved I was at the conclusion. Overall a good show. If you need some filler and want something to binge for a few days, The Good Place is a fun ride with lots of direct and indirect references to many different philosophers and philosophies. How many TV shows can say that!?

Not a must watch. But if you must watch, then it will occupy the mind with humor and occasionally, real thoughtfulness.

Four seasons, about 12 episodes per season. On US Netflix I think.

I have to admit I skipped around the last season, but I'd say at the least Seasons 1 & 2 are worth a watch.

That they managed to get Ted Danson behind a bar, and for one of the most meaningful moments at that, was perhaps the highlight of the show.

Season 3 was the weak link. If you liked season 1 and 2 it is worth it to move through season 4.
