Yeah when I had a 5G box this is how it was done - with a special router.

I'm actually feeling like my cable internet (Fios) isn't much better than 5G, possibly worse for coverage in my place. So I fully get that in certain cases 5G is great, but the article does show the costliness of it is an issue that will be passed down to the consumer.
