In this book, I will summarize the story of our research, and present a large number of case examples from our studies, plus a few attempts to understand what TL is all about. And what it might tell us about ourselves and the destiny of the self in life and death.

Quote:Key points
Terminal lucidity describes brief, unexpected returns of clarity shortly before death.
These episodes appear to challenge standard models linking cognition strictly to tissue.
A small group of researchers helped move terminal lucidity from anecdote to coordinated science.
For families and caregivers, lucid moments reshape meaning, identity, and connection at life’s end profoundly.
This article's almost a month old by now - I've just embarked on sharing a backlog - but notable as a summary by the book's author in a somewhat mainstream publication.
Incidentally, to cross-reference a couple of other PQ threads about Alexander's book:

I have both of those books in my book collection, and in my opinion Batthyány's book is indeed a good complement to The Art of Dying. Reading that book was a positive surprise to me too and I definitely recommend it.
