Distribution of paranormal phenomena across the British Isles

Courtesy of the SPR Facebook page, here's an interesting blog post from "Weird Data Science", with maps showing the frequency of different classes of paranormal events in different parts of the British Isles, from the Paranormal Database:

It looks as though about two thirds of the entries in the database relate to hauntings, and their distribution seems to reflect the population density quite closely.

But I thought it was interesting that the strongest peaks for both cryptozoology and UFOs were near the East Anglian coast, which I wouldn't have expected. Of course, that might reflect a bias in data collection, but there aren't noticeable East Anglian peaks in the other four categories.
