I just came upon this through youtube after watching Bob Lazar stuff.
I don't know if this astrophysicist's ideas about consciousness are novel or particularly norteworthy, but I find it interesting that he's a Harvard astrophysicist who has a worldview taking seriously a conscious universe, souls and UFOs/aliens. He's co-written books on alien contact and OBEs.
