It is amazingly easy to invent 'explanations' like this!

David
It's continually depressing how ignorant media writers endlessly continue to repeatedly follow the gospel of the closed-minded followers of the religion of scientism to post hard-line materialist "explanations" for paranormal experiences, clearly and presumptuously implying that absolutely every supposed paranormal experience has such a "normal" explanation, since the claimed event violates the laws of physics and also violates both the absolute rule of materialism that the only real things in the world are material, and the belief that an afterlife is impossible. According to the religion of scientism all of these supposed violations are absolutely impossible.

Here we go yet again - the author describes a cleverly imagined neurological hallucinatory mechanism that he thinks can explain a category of paranormal ghost or apparition experiences, but as tediously always, completely ignores the very extensive body of empirical evidence showing that paranormal ghost or apparition experiences often occur with strong veridical elements, that is, when the experiencers' accounts contain observations of events and things that they could not possibly have perceived through their normal senses. One early example out of many is even covered in a recent post by Max B here in Psiencequest, at https://psiencequest.net/forums/thread-a...6#pid54826 .

The continued prevalence of such lame "scientific" explain-away attempts seems to show little change for the better.
