The eye as a pictograph of consciousness

As I looked into the bright blue inquisitive eyes of my 6-month-old boy, it occurred to me that the eye is a beautiful representation of consciousness. As above so below... the universe in a grain of sand... everything represents the whole in some tortured metaphor, but the eye is a perfect metaphor for consciousness. You have the white (logos) and the black (chaos) and the colorful intricate border between them (consciousness). Consciousness exists at the interface between the two primary opposites.

Nothing quite like this Hurm.

My children (all 3) have been the most miraculous and mysterious thing to ever happen to me.  Further, for me it is proof of "something more" whatever that may be.

Really enjoyed reading your post. Smile
