Quote:A puzzling piece of security camera footage from a police station in Serbia left officers scratching their heads as it appears to show some kind of apparition floating between jail cells. According to a local news story, the weird incident occurred in the town of Trstenik, where cops caught a glimpse of the eerie anomaly on their CCTV monitor. Left awestruck by the strange sight, the bewildered lawmen reportedly watched the video numerous times in an attempt to determine what had appeared in the footage.

Unable to solve the mystery themselves, they subsequently enlisted the help of their fellow officers, showing the video to nearly the entire Trstenik police force the next day. Alas, no one could offer a plausible explanation for the perceived figure in the footage. As such, the overwhelming and unsettling conclusion among the cops was that the oddity was a ghost.

A thread on reddit suggested that it was likely to be a cobweb infront of the camera, swinging back and forth.

It doesn't always look like a figure but I can't see any swing to it either.  The movement appears to be horizontal.  Things directly in front of the camera can look spooky.  I had orbs appearing in some photos once but when I tried to replicate the effect I got nothing.  Turns out it was a small group of fruit flies that had settled in and were catching the flash.  I couldn't replicate the effect because it was the wrong time of night.

It's frustrating that the video doesn't show the actual footage. Instead it's a low-resolution image of a display screen, so the original capture can't be viewed frame-by frame in full detail.
