Here's an interesting NDE that has caused a stir.

I'm not entirely sure whether or not this is the right place to put this. Although the background context is an NDE, it might perhaps fit better in a section on spirituality, or philosophy, or somewhere else. It may possibly be considered out of place anywhere on this site by some.

Myself, I consider it as just one more data point to fit into the picture.

I'm only posting this because it (again) ties in with some of the posts above on the theme of 'staying'/'going back' etc. It's not a spectacular account but it is interesting and relevant I think.

The near-death experience of Daniel Kellenberger.

This is a very well made French documentary featuring veridical NDE/STE reports along with commentary from various medical experts, doctors, psychiatrists etc.

First get the subtitles up and then go to auto-translate into English. It's not a perfect translation but most of it comes up pretty well. Or that's the impression I got.

Malf, if you're going to watch it, you'll need a whole box of doggy chocs Wink  it is rather long. Well worth a look, though.

I expect this has already been posted, but for some reason. I only just came across it. (from March 2018)

An interview with Raymond Moody, covering a broad sweep from his beginnings in the topic and understandings of NDEs and related areas.

Discussing Life After Life with Dr Raymond Moody - Paranormal Podcast 525

Quote - on modern-day 'sceptics', "I'm a person who doesn't draw conclusions, and my conclusion is ...". (at about 27 minutes into the recording).

This is from June. Moody was on Coast to Coast with counselor Dr. Sharon Prentice.

Coast to Coast has put up a long excerpt:

Coast to Coast AM June 13, 2018. Raymond Moody, M.D.'s seminal work, Life After Life, has sold over ten million copies and completely changed the way in which we view death and dying. In the first half, he was joined by counselor Dr. Sharon Prentice to discuss Shared Death Experiences (SDE) which are similar to NDEs except they occur not to the person who is dying, but to their loved one who is "invited along" to witness the aftermath of physical death. At the moment of her husband's death from cancer, Prentice had an SDE which she described as a transition from darkness to light. "The geometry of the room totally changes...The ceiling turned into mist...and I was just surrounded by billions and billions of stars."

This woman relates what she believes should be described as three near death experiences but only the third one occurred when she was in dire straights; so the first two, I personally think are incorrectly labelled.

What I found interesting was both her descriptions of the fundamental basis of the universe (which may or may not be accurate) and her calm resignation towards her soon-coming death. Nothing spectacular but I think this lady deserves to be heard.

Courtesy of the SPR Facebook page, Richard MacLean Smith's Unexplained Podcast has an episode (S3E9) on NDEs:

Other recent episodes deal with reincarnation and psychokinesis.

I listened to quite a few of these before there was a hiatus last year, and thought they were quite good to listen to as entertainment while doing something that didn't need too much concentration.
