"Interdimensional portals" - UFOs or CERN experiments?

Brent Swancer at Mysterious Universe has an article about pictures and videos claiming to show "interdimensional portals in the sky", and discusses whether they're UFO or CERN-experiment related.

This was one such event in Texas in 2016:

Quote:The weird brightening and dimming portal reportedly stayed stationary for around 10 minutes before fading away to leave witnesses baffled. According to the reports, during this time numerous cars at nearby Port Arthur purportedly inexplicably died on the road, their engines stalling for no apparent reason, and SecureTeam 10’s Tyler Glockner claims that hundreds of motorists were effected by this anomaly, their cars stopping dead in their tracks while still in motion and in some cases causing them to careen right off the road. Many of the witnesses also reported hearing a high-pitched whine spew forth from their radios before the cars and all electrical equipment ceased to function, and it has been speculated this was all caused by some sort of electromagnetic pulse connected to the strange object in the sky. Glockner would say of the odd incident:
Quote:Now that seems to me like an EMP (electromagnetic) wave, something like that. Something was knocking out power systems along this area very close to where the mysterious streak of light was sighted.

Quote:Besides inter-dimensional portals apparently created by extraterrestrial intelligences, there are also plenty of reports of such doorways conjured up by secret government projects right here on Earth. By far the most notorious of these come from that wellspring of conspiracy theories, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), operated by The European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN. The largest and most powerful particle accelerator in the world, the LHC is located 300 feet underground directly below the the CERN Control Centre in Geneva, Switzerland, and is comprised of a vast loop stretching 27 kilometers (about 17 miles).

This loop is more or less used to hurl subatomic particles at extreme speeds in order to smash them into each other to test what will happen for the purpose of unlocking some of the secrets of our universe, including recreating the conditions of the Big Bang, to find out how our universe was create, and find dark matter, among others. Perhaps one of the most famous discoveries linked to the various experiments at the LHC was the observation of Higgs Boson particles, which give matter mass and up until then had been purely theoretical. In addition to the official explanation of this facility, there are many, many conspiracy theories about what “really goes on down there.”

I couldn't find any other sources to support the stories above, but this got me thinking about the symbolism involved with portals.

Few things are more exciting to a curious mind (human, cat, etc) than a portal - a tiny opening leading to a broad new space. It is a doorway from the explored to the unexplored. It is a boundary feature. It is a shrinking and expanding.

The image of a vortex is also deeply embedded in the psyche as an archetypal image so if we see it anywhere - even if it is a missile test gone rogue, or whatever - it is difficult to believe there is no meaning behind it because it is historically associated in our genetic lineage with powerful, significant, even traumatic events.

Tornadoes, water spouts, and vorticies in the ocean, rivers, and bathtubs have terrified witnesses and literally sucked people in and transported them to new unknown locations (well maybe not the bathtub). Ever remember as a child watching the water swirl down and out of the tub or toilet and get a sense of fear and wonder? What would happen if you were sucked down there? Maybe this is an instinctual genetic memory passed down from the traumas experienced by our ancestors?

What about all the years we spent on ships? Or the far longer periods that we spent venturing into the circular mouths of caves?

There is also something deeper to the idea of circularity and the way circularity is both the foundation of things and the undoing of things. Circularity is the end of logic. Self-reflection and self-deception is the foundation of reality if reality is Monistic. Resonance and feedback loops can build up energy resulting in destruction. Circularity is also the most primitive form of structure. The whirlpool in the stream is the Eastern notion of mind. A tornado or vortex in rising smoke and fire appears to have a mind of its own and is therefore easily anthropomorphized. Circularity could be simultaneously the path to ultimate self-knowledge as well as the abyss of nothingness.

Birth begins with a journey through a dark portal and into the light - a new unexplored space... And according to many NDE accounts death is the same.
