Bruce Damer

I recently listened to a couple of interviews with Dr Bruce Damer. After the first interview on the origins of life I was a bit perplexed in that his theory seemed to transend the modern synthesis yet he still did not seem open to any kind of field factor like morphic resonance  or consciousness being anything other than a byproduct. Yet in his second interview he seemed to move into a whole other realm in which he seemed to acknowledge the limits of materialism and embrace the "mystery" as it were
I was curious as to whether anyone else had listened to these and had any thoughts.
