Animal consciousness survival

My beloved horse Caramelo just died, and I'm taking it real hard. I don't know whether I'm gonna see him on the other side. Any thoughts about animal consciousness survival?

I’m sorry Enrique.

I’m sure that because you’re emotionally connected and want to meet again, you will.
Oh my God, I hate all this.   Surprise

Sorry to hear that, Enrique. I believe you will see her again, yes. Dogs are more often seen by people reporting NDE's but I can certainly recall one man who reported having a telepathic conversation with a horse (in this other dimension whatever it is)

Thank you, Tim. I also heard about dogs in the afterlife, no so much about horses. It's probably because more people have dogs than horses these days, so, statistically, dogs are mentioned more often than horses. I wonder though if it's also because normally, the emotional connection between a human and a dog is stronger than that with other animals.

I don't know if the emotional connection between humans and dogs is stronger. Probably it is for most people. But I've also come across people who have the same attachment to horses and all sorts of animals.

Afterlife 101

Several references to pets, animals, etc. I hope that this serves you.

Hi Enrique sorry to hear about Caramelo.  It’s awful when we lose a pet.

I’d say there’s a great deal of evidence to support the position that pets and companion animals of all types survive death.

One my few direct personal experiences involved a pet.

“When your animal dies” by Sylvia Barbanell is very good.

Silver Birch also addresses the subject in his teachings. See hear for an example http://zerdinisworld.com/?p=496

At materialisation seances people claim to have also recognised and been greeted by pets of all shapes and sizes including cats, dogs, horses, birds and I even recall reading about a monkey!

Thank you guys for all this material, it certainly helps. It's weird how much we love our animals. I think it's because all we remember about them is love. Human relationships are more complicated; they experience ups and downs, little spats, quarrels, etc., whereas with an animal it's pure unconditional love, untainted by complications. That's why I think psychologists agree that losing a pet oftentimes is harder than losing a human.

This came through a mediumistic séance, but George Wilmot apparently met his horse first when he passed over:

Quote:You know, I might make you laugh, but it’s perfectly true. Mind you, I was always fond of people; I always took an interest in people. As a matter of fact, I think I can say this, that often people would come and ask me proper questions if they were in trouble. I was always willing to help people. I was very fond of people. But the odd thing was, and in a way, I’m not surprised, because I was so fond of her, but my old Jenny was the one that I first saw when I come over here. Yeh, now that’s got you guessin’, but Jenny wasn’t neither of my wives, thank God. It was my horse.

Yeh, she was old Jenny, she used to pull my cart in my earlier years, in the thirties, you know. I was real upset when poor old Jenny collapsed and died. She was as near to me as any woman could be. In fact, more so. I had quite affection and regard for old Jenny. She knew everything that I ever said to her, I’m sure she did. She was as cute as they come. She was a real beaut. She wasn’t much to look at, I suppose, as horses go, of course, but she was a real, real nice old nag, she was. And the first thing I met when I woke up over here was being in a, well I suppose you’d call it a field. I seemed to be sitting, lying under a tree. And I remember sort of waking up and I could see this horse coming towards me. And it was my old Jenny. Course, she looked younger, of course and she was, oh, she was so thrilled, so happy you could sense or feel it, I can’t say how, I mean, this is something I can’t explain, but it’s almost as if she was talking to me. It was extraordinary. I couldn’t hear any voice and you don’t expect to hear a horse speak, but it was somehow mentally, I suppose. Now I realize now it must have been as though she was speaking to me, welcoming me.

She came and stood beside me and was licking my face. Goodness me, I’ll never forget this as long as I live, and I was so thrilled, so excited.
