[Original thread title: Planned forum outage starting from 2017-11-15 05:00 UTC (approx 2 days from now)]

A new (minor) version of the MyBB software which runs this forum was released a few days ago: MyBB 1.8.13.

I'm planning on updating the forum software based on this release, and will need to take the forum offline for an hour or two (all going well) to do so. This post is just to give folks plenty of warning as to when that outage will occur: at approximately 2017-11-15 05:00 (i.e. 5am) in the UTC time zone (since this seems to be a time of day during which the forum is least active). In case converting between time zones is not your thing, here's another way of looking at it: the outage will occur in approximately two days and thirty minutes from this post's date.

I'll try to keep the offline period to a minimum. Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade's complete but issues might still crop up - please let us know of any that you notice. I'm already aware of the issue with the "Like" button showing up on a row of its own on the default style - I figured it was minor enough that we could go back online whilst I try to sort out a fix for it.
Thanks for taking the time to do this.
A few hours ago another minor version of MyBB was released (1.8.14) which fixes some security issues. Upgrading was literally a matter of uploading four files - which took mere seconds - so I didn't bother to announce the upgrade in advance or even take the forum offline, especially given I'd tested the upgrade on my local machine first and found no issues.
Goin' rogue.
The forum software has just been upgraded from MyBB 1.8.14 to 1.8.15 - let us know of any problems you encounter!

I don't know if it's just me, but almost none of the Youtube videos in the multimedia resource threads (psi, NDE, reincarnation, etc.) work now with Firefox 45.9 or Opera 36.0. Is anyone else having trouble with the videos in these threads?:

I posted a similar observation here: http://psiencequest.net/forums/thread-in...4#pid15004

Indeed, that's what started my looking through the multimedia threads to see if other videos were no longer playable. I should have responded to your post in the thread referenced above.

Good catches! I think I've fixed it now.

The problem at least as I understand it is that the code to auto-generate a link out of a bare URL was run before the code to convert the video BBCode into an embedded video - and the latter code was being messed up by the former because the latter expected a bare URL, not one converted into a link. Shifting the latter code so that it occurs prior to the former code seems to have fixed things, but there may be unexpected consequences, so please let me know if you spot any other problems.
