UFO Close Up

Seen this doing the rounds on UFO reddit land. Not sure what to make of it. The original video that I seen on youtube is from 2008 at least, and this version from 3 years ago, but the actual source could be way earlier.

Many people were saying that this was possibly the F-18 video that Chris Mellon said we had 20 min footage of a close up UAP. I don't think that is true because I don't even think it's an F-18.

It looks to be the trailing edge of a left wing as you can see what looks to be ailerons, so for this video to be in the cockpit of an F-18, the camera would need to be placed way further aft to where there is no cockpit.

If not an F-18, then what type of plane? I don't know. Regardless it's an interesting video because it was uploaded around the time that one of the now verified US Navy UFO videos was leaked too.

One thing that stands out to me is that if it were faked in some way, they went to great trouble to replicate the sun in the top right corner of the frame. It looks pretty realistic in terms of the colour. Others have said that maybe it's a computer game filmed through a layer of scratched plexiglass.

Thoughts?

While it may surprise him, I'd be interested in @Steve001 's read on this from his experience as a pilot.

I do find this UFO thing pretty fascinating.  Not quite sure what to make of it either.

If you meant me, I looked at it earlier. I didn’t think Steve had a flying background.

I wasn’t very impressed. As DD says, it looks like an airliner or transport plane, type unknown, with trailing edge in view. Definitely no F18. The sound track is like a background recording of airline passengers with added knocking of some sort. The disc has an arcade feel to me, hovering in and out of view.

Edited to say that the soundtrack was a problem for me. If something like that was going on outside the window I would not have expected idle chatter to continue, I would expect something different, maybe some screaming for example.

So who knows, but it’s a no from me.  Wink
Oh my God, I hate all this.   Surprise

Sorry Stan, I did mean you.  I got myself screwed up on the handle I tagged.  Apologies and thanks for the read here.
