A DNA match has recently enabled law enforcement to find and arrest the Golden State Killer. See here for example.
Kind of interesting after the fact to watch documentaries and see the suspects were for the case. Like here:
The story has made it seem more likely that something similar could be done for the infamous Zodiac killer. Now that's one I'll be watching out for.
