As I understand it, this forum has a policy of minimal moderation, which I think is entirely correct.

But the corollary of that is that members are encouraged to police the forum by criticising inappropriate behaviour. That means that everyone has the right and duty to do so, without fear of being accused of being an "interfering busy body".

Please, argue your case, without resorting to ad hominem attacks and prejudice based on irrelevant factors like where someone happens to live.

There was nothing at all inappropriate about my post (to Malf). And it's not your duty to respond to it, albeit you are free to do so. Malf and me go way back with this, he often posts something aimed at me and then doesn't ever respond which has happened several times. So if I had PM'd Malf he may have or may not have responded, I don't know.

My post to Berkelon is rude and it was meant to be rude because he took it upon himself to get involved in something which he has no clue about (history of) yet assumed the right to knee jerk criticism.

Your concern about "country prejudice" is rather silly, I'm afraid and if you can't take that without having a hissy fit then I suggest you put me on ignore.

You need to stop being stupid, and you need to learn some manners.

Ho ho ho ! What were you just saying previously about ad homs  [Image: biggrin.png]

My comment addressed what you said. It was stupid, prejudiced and disrespectful.

Whatever next? Are you going to be asking whether posters you disagree with are black, or gay, or Jewish, to see if that had any "influence" on what they posted?

"I'm suggesting you need to treat people with respect, and to address what they say, not what they are."

I don't need your patronising suggestions about respect. And I've never made a remark on this forum that impinged on anyone's character as far as I know. How about you dishing out a few "likes" (to other members who "like" your posts) occasionally, or is that too uncool or beneath you?

Your comment was rude and aggressive, but that's okay during an argument.

That's just plain silly. I'm not even going to address it. In regard to which country people live in, there are certainly secular influences and vice versa.

I've reported your posts.

How old are you, for heavens sake ? Good grief how sad (and rather pathetic !)

EDIT: If Sheriff Laird and his deputies come into town, they sure better be ready for a fight, cause I'm gonna take down the whole damned forum with me, ya hear me, Chris ? Just joking of course honest....   :/

This is what you do, isn't it, Chris. You dig a hole for yourself and then you keep incessantly trying to extricate yourself to save your ego.

I thought you'd just reported me to the head teacher ? It's not going to look good if you keep addressing a ruffian like me.
