I'm not sure if that's the one I've already seen. Certainly there was a UK tv programme presented by Tony Robinson, on Dr Arthur Guirdham. The one I had in mind was broadcast on New Year's Eve at the end of 2008. It is discussed here:

By the way,
"the Cathar reincarnation case that was the subject of a book"
he definitely wrote more than one book on this topic, published over a number of years. Though not all of his books were on the Cathar period, one went back to the Mysteries of Eleusis. He also wrote weighty books on topics related to his professional career as a psychiatrist, and the relation of ill-health (physical and mental) to the mind.

In the above video with Jeffrey Mishlove, Simkiw states “when I show Stevenson’s cases to my patients, they accept it”. 

What does that mean? That they accept 100% that reincarnation happens? Or they accept the possibility that reincarnation may happen? 

I often say that I like to leave a little space so that it has space to get out if necessary! Otherwise it can’t breathe. I don’t believe anything 100%!  

Just a personal opinion here, I'm not a fan of Walter Semkiw. I'm pretty sure there are misidentifications in some of his proposed cases. Though I give him credit for being well-intentioned.

The mystery and process of reincarnation and near death experiences (NDEs) are not just spiritual theories, but rather backed up by a lot of scientific research and evidence from around the world.  Many children around the world have dreams and memories of their past lives, that can actually be verified with historical accounts of people who have passed. Children are more connected to the spiritual world, their minds are fresh and more open, and they haven't yet been brainwashed by the rules of society.

I noticed Matlock doesn't like the term 'soul', says it's too vague, and prefers 'consciousness'. Though Sam Parnia says the two terms are nowadays synonymous. Then he says the memories are stored and pass from one life to the next in the 'subconscious mind'. Now that is vague indeed - what does that even mean? It seems vague terms are ok when it suits him.
