It was accompanied by Paranormal Review, issue 85 (Spring [?] 2018):

I found the paper by Michael E. Byrne very difficult to make sense of. It talks about space-time being accompanied by a "non dimensional expanse or zero dimension", which somehow contains all the wave functions in the universe and all consciousness (or maybe just all sub-consciousness). After a while he talks about this "zero dimension" existing "before, during, and after the physical universe" (what he means by "before" and "after" when time is part of the physical universe, isn't explained). I'm afraid the equations are certainly nonsensical in mathematical terms. I think something has gone badly wrong with the peer-review process in this case.
Great news, people! From 2018, ALL issues of the Journal of the Scientific Exploration, including the 4 newest ones, are free to read and download - for everyone:

My sincere gratitude to the Society for the Scientific Exploration for doing it! Smile

Issues of the old Zetetic Scholar periodical, which appeared between 1978 and 1987, are available here:

I know randomisation is important in experimental parapsychology, but I have just received a copy of the July number of the Journal of the SPR, in which the order of the pages has been randomised. I think that's going a bit too far.

The "World Institute for Scientific Exploration" has provided a list of "Consciousness Journals and Periodicals", with links to online text where available. It's quite an old list, and I suspect a lot of the links won't be valid now - and much of the material can probably be described as "beyond the fringe" - but there's a lot of bibliographical information there which may be useful to somebody. (Unfortunately they have allowed comments and evidently left them unmonitored, so the top half of the page is a long stream of spam advertising casinos, weight-loss diets and so on.)

The Summer 2018 issue of the SPR's magazine Paranormal Review is now out (at least in electronic form). It's a special edition featuring five articles on the work of the late Guy Lyon Playfair. A list of contents is available here:

One of the articles - "Reading Previous Lives", by Titus Rivas and Anny Dirven - has been made available on the Academia website:

[Edit: This is actually from the Spring 2017 issue, not the current one.]
