Courtesy of the Daily Grail, here's a report from the Irish Times on the Irish Schools' Collection - a 750,000-page account of folklore collected by school children interviewing elderly people between 1937 and 1939. Volunteers are transcribing the material. So far half a million pages have been digitised, and 100,000 transcribed:
