Seemed to fit the criteria of a death bed vision.

I don't have access to BBC on demand, but did her father say that there were 5 paramedics waiting to come on board the plane as soon as they opened the aircraft door after landing at Nice ?

Hi Max, I was going to send you a (possibly helpful) private message, but could not do so. I respect your choices, though I wonder whether you might temporarily allow messages.

Best regards,
Typoz
I've just deleted a post because I couldn't make it sound right. It was along the lines of this man has obviously seen something extraordinary but what he has seen doesn't exist and cannot happen (scientifically) even though I believe it did.

Are you connecting 5 paramedics and 5 angels?

But it is interesting that there were 5 paramedics, and he saw 5 angels who all appeared and looked at him at that particular moment, and also what he said about the angels... that they had come to do a job... a feeling they were there with a mission and a purpose...
Yes curious. Why would it take 5 angels? Hm.

Don't know... three seems to be a regularly reoccurring number in the literature, Obiwan (as I'm sure you know) ; five is unusual but unusual doesn't count in this context, does it.  Just speaking for myself, I do believe the guy saw these "angels" but then again, because it's so extraordinary, I somehow don't, if that makes sense. And yet people do see "angels" in times of crisis, don't they.

A (reliable) source told me that her dying friend told her  just before she died in hospital (from cancer) …"I won't be with you much longer, I've just seen an angel" She was (apparently) completely lucid and for some reason very happy.

Yes that’s true. People certainly do report entities that they identify as angels. I was just curious about why five would be needed to help, if in fact that’s what they were. People do have experiences which change their entire view of the world of course. I certainly wouldn’t argue about what he says he saw. What they were I’d wouldn’t like to say. Whilst I am happy to accept what people say they saw I’m not always so happy to accept their explanation of it it that makes sense?

I’m also quite happy to accept that people do sometime report seeing entities close to or at the point of death. There’s too much evidence to deny. Sometimes there also veridical content too which is a bonus!

What is an angel after all? ?
