Depression Cured by Past-Life Regression

This is a report from March 2018 in the Daily Mail.

Woman, 57, claims she cured her depression and came off medication by recalling her PAST LIVES - including her time as an abused maid who set herself on fire

Quote:A woman who battled depression her entire life has finally been cured and able to come off medication, after remembering her reincarnation.

Joanne Tym, 57, from Cheshire said her 'pessimistic mindset ended overnight' after a session with London-based Past Life Regression expert Nicolas Aujula via Skype in November 2017.

For as long as she could remember, Joanne had carried an underlying sadness that never made sense to her, despite an idyllic childhood, and was diagnosed with clinical depression in 1985.

But through the therapy she discovered a past life as an abused maid left to die in a mental institute after setting herself alight, and another of a solider dealing with the overwhelming guilt of losing troops in the Crimean War.

'I weaned myself off the anti depressants over a week from the morning after the session because I woke up with a lightness that I'd never experienced before. It was great to feel so light and happy,' she told Femail.

'I now no longer need anti depressants, am more sociable and look forward to the future with more hope.'

I would suggest that she was gifted on at least two fronts. The second less obvious one, being the ability to get off of antidepressants in a week.
I've known people that struggled for months to achieve as much.

While I'm a fan of hypnotism it's not necessarily that the hypnotism treated the depression. Many cases, sometimes the majority of cases, in which depression is resolved is actually spontaneous. This phenomenon is not well understood, as far as I'm aware.

Based on adult samples recruited from primary-care settings, the model estimated that 23% of prevalent cases of untreated depression will remit within 3 months, 32% within 6 months and 53% within 12 months.

I think there are three or four separate issues raised here (in no particular order):
  • depression
  • past-life trauma
  • dependence on medication
  • hypnotism

My own personal interest in this subject is in the past-life trauma as the cause and potentially the solution for various present-day issues.

I can't comment on hypnotism or medication particularly.

Depression is something which has impacted my life, severely at one stage, and it was past-life recall which was a form of resolution for me. It didn't make the depression disappear without trace, but it did relieve the severest aspects. In addition, the knowledge of my own past lives gave a sense of continuity which allowed a fresh and completely different perspective. Just having that fresh outlook changed the nature of my own depression from an all-or-nothing battle to something lighter and transient.

I'd love to hear about your past life regression more if you're willing to share. If not, that's okay too. Some experiences ought to be kept private I think.
