Thanks. That seems very reasonable. I've never found homeopathy very believable. 

But the aspect I wonder about is the explanation given for the effectiveness of the placebo. Is there any experimental evidence for that, or is it pure supposition, I wonder?

As I recall studies have been done on the placebo effect and as I recall is a real effect.

I don't think anyone disputes that. What I wonder is whether it's explicable in conventional terms.

Knowing the placebo literature it is explicable in conventional terms.
