The author suggests that they may be paranormal entities pretending to be Santa, or that they may be tulpas created by belief in Santa, though not that Santa may really exist.


But perhaps it wouldn't do any harm to suspend our sceptical faculties for one night in the year ...

I understand this has now unexpectedly become a political issue in the USA. I am quite happy for this thread to be moved to the secret politics forum if necessary.
