It may be very clever, and it may be an interesting exercise to try to figure it out, but I think it's a failing when the plot of a 75-minute film looks like this:

Ha! I remember those kinds of graphs when the movie came out.

Sorry you didn't like it. I enjoyed it because of the "Ah-ha!" moment I had watching the movie. I know Internet-people go nerdy on it, but I found it quite enjoyable on a second viewing when I knew that Aaron had been gaming the system all along.

Quote: The Living and the Dead

Somerset, England, 1888. A land and a community on the edge of monumental change, on the great hinge between ancient traditional ways and an industrial, scientific future.

A land of ghosts and myths, poltergeists and demons - if there was ever a time for those ghosts to rise out of the ground, this would be that time.

At the heart of this small community is Nathan Appleby, a reluctant gentleman farmer who is obsessed with proving the existence of the afterlife.

I really liked this series. Good quality, and suspenseful.

I'll watch anything with Vincent D'Onofrio ...

I watched Episode 1 today on Netflix. Looks promising.
I do not make any clear distinction between mind and God. God is what mind becomes when it has passed beyond the scale of our comprehension.
